Ghosties and Ghoulies
Hi Everyone,
The Ghosties and Ghoolies will be arriving this Saturday and then it’s November 1. Doesn’t that sound a lot closer to Christmas than October 31st? The panic begins.
Actually we have lots of kits, patterns, books and ideas to help you make some wonderful quick gifts or the kits, patterns and books can themselves become the gifts! Homemade is always the most thoughtful. Gift certificates are always the right size and color.
Speaking of gifts, don’t forget the Model Sale that takes place on Thurs., Fri., and Sat. of this week. That would be Oct. 29, 30, and 31st. The models on sale will be whatever the employees have made that they wish to sell. Yes, we have too many quilts. Many of the models will be tablerunners, placemats, purses and wallhangings. However, there will also be some lap size and larger quilts available. Our closets will only hold so much, and new fabric comes in daily.
New things from Quilt Market are beginning to arrive and one new pattern is from Atkinson Designs. Its called the Holiday TableTopper and is made using the 60 degree ruler. I know lots of you have this ruler and this is another use for it. The pattern has three sizes in it from small to tree-skirt size. Its quite easy to make and I give it 4 stars. (That’ll really impress you I know.) Of course, its available at the Nook and you could make several before Christmas-or one before Halloween!
