Happy New Year Jan ‘10
Happy New Year!
It’s possible that the thing I’m happiest about is the end of the Holiday Season. Call me a creature of habit, but I miss my routine and at this point I really crave boredom. Having said that, I’m really looking forward to getting back to work and seeing what’s happening at the Nook.
We have a really exciting year coming up. Just think, we have lots of events planned, celebrities coming, and always always new fabric, patterns and classes. There is a Mardi Gras shop hop coming up in Feb. That should help chase the mid-winter – is this snow ever going to end – blahs. What’s more fun than a road trip and, no negative thoughts now, the weather is going to co-operate. In May, we have Sue Hausman coming and in June we will have Pat Knoechel and in July the Stars Across Indiana shop hop. After that, we have a day planned with Chris Dolinar and………………… As you can see, 2010 is a year to look forward to!
Now about those projects being carried over from last year. You know, those large albatrosses and millstones hanging around our necks. Those Projects That Are NOT DONE! I have a suggestion. Don’t say, “I can’t start one more thing until I finish some of the things I’ve already got started!” You’re already bored with those or you would have finished them. So start something new and get excited!! Then do as I do, and take 1 or 2 hours a week and set that time aside to only work at a project unfinished. You will be amazed at the end of three months how many old projects you will have finished and you will still have kept up your enthusiasm. I can only tell you it works for me.
Well, enough excitement for now, my Diamond is calling me. By the way, everyone at the Nook would like to say thanks for a great year and a great time. We’re really looking forward to seeing you in 2010.
Mary
