Dreary Weather Jan.24,10

Hi Everybody,

Not such a pretty day today and I must say, I’ve had enough fog for awhile. Those May flowers had better be really spectacular!

My sons are together this weekend watching the big Colts game and hoping “their” team goes to the Superbowl. Don’t forget that our own Superbowl will going on Feb 7th at the Nook. I don’t have the whole scoop on what the specials and discounts will be, but keep checking in and I’ll keep updating. All hands will be on deck though, to help out. If you want to pick out a quilt, or need help picking out a quilt and you want to use your Superbowl discount, please come in a day or two early and get it picked out and we will cut it and put it back for you. That lessens the confusion on the day. God knows, we’re already confused enough!

We got some new batiks from MODA this week and a really cute line called Spring Fever. Spring Fever looks like summer colors with rather wild, but awfully cute prints. Similar to the prints in the butterfly quilt Diana made last year. I’m making a quilt for a pretty special granddaughter using them. They’d make cute purses and little girl skirts or shorts too.

If anyone didn’t get one of our little pocket calendars and would still like one, we have several left that would like a good home. Also, we have begun selling passports for the Feb. Shop Hop. They are $5.00 if bought before the Hop and $6.00 during the Hop. A day out hopping is a good way to chase the winter drearies away. A little lunch, a couple new projects, a little dissing with your friends and before you know it –its March and winter is on it’s way out!

Bottom line, if you need to get out and do something different, come to the Nook and take a look at bright fabric, bright ideas and a sunny welcome!

Until later,

Mary
