Super Bowl blog Feb 7 ‘10
Bazinga!
What a weather week! I was drifted in for a couple of days, so when Diana suggested we ride up to the store–I was in! When the six deer ran in front of us, I did rethink my decision briefly, but all was well. See, that’s why we live in Indiana. We like the challenges. Anybody can fry on a beach, but it takes a real masochist to take on Winter in the Midwest. Since more bad weather is expected in by Tues., and since the Superbowl Sale will be going on all week, the free-motion quilting class has been postponed for 1 week. I think I told Diana Tues. for the e-mail she sent, but apparently it was Wed. Sorry for the mistake. The class is postponed one week and the day of the week has not changed.
By the way, be sure to come in for the Sale. There are a lot of bargains and don’t forget to sign up for the drawings. The drawings will be done at the end of the week. We have increased the sale fabric and of course the skinny bolts are always changing. You know, if nothing else, it’s a great time to stock up on neutral thread, batts and backings. I always pick up some stabilizers and kk2000 spray. With the weather forcast, you want to have plenty of stash to keep you busy.
While I was holed up, I got a quilt top done! I used the Spring Fever line from MODA and it made me think Spring was coming. Of course, we were all betrayed by Pauxatawny Phil. Somebody needs to teach him not to be afraid of his shadow. I mean, he only works one day a year and then screws it up. We are starting to think Spring and fabric is coming in every day. There’s hardly room to put it all out. Don’t worry, we’ll manage somehow.
That’s all for now, but I still love Paytie Pie and maybe we’ll have more luck (or a better defense) next year. Come see us soon,
Mary
