Sunday blog 3-14

Hi Everyone,

It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old dog is snoring….. Good days to sew and think about how nice its going to be when we can go barefootin’ this summer. Until then, buy some bright colors at the Spring Cleaning sale. Lots of good stuff that has just lived around the Nook a little too long is on the list. It all wants to go to a new home and experience new things. On the 17th, wear green into the store and get 17% off non-sale green fabric and thread! You know the Nook, we give until it hurts!!

The class schedules are back from the printers (finally!) and you can pick one up whenever you like. Lots of the classes are starting, so sign up now. We’ve all been busily sewing as well, so there are lots of new models up. I know I just took in my “Spring Fling” and sent “American Beauty” off to the quilter. I’ve also finished a new “Mini Bow Tucks” in bright turquoise and silver. That one is already spoken for when the store is done with it. Frances has a wonderful tree quilt ready to be quilted and Pam is busily working on a lovely pastel one. Lisa has a really cute apron hanging in the window and I need to get busy on one for a special little girl. You know, there just aren’t enough hours in the day. If we had more, I’d probably just sleep. Diana has been doing a lot of sewing as well, plus taking care of business and planning two more shop hops.

Sue Hausmann is almost a sold-out event, so if you want to sign-up or put yourself on the reserve list, act now and don’t put it off. You snooze, you lose. I’m sure its really going to be fun.

Well enough, I’m cutting out a new cowboy quilt and trying a new chicken marinade for supper. Later I’ll probably be asleep in my chair as I try to catch-up to the time-change. You know, statistically, there are more heart-attacks than normal in the weeks following a time change. God knows, I don’t need that so I’m sure we all need extra rest and a stress-free environment.

Have a great week,

Mary
