Spring Cleaning is a bore 3-27
Hi All
Just let me say that Spring Cleaning is highly over-rated and if our fore-mothers enjoyed it –it’s because TV and computerized sewing machines had not been invented yet. Dear God, we cleaned out and cleared out until I hardly recognize the house. Of course, prior to The Great Cleansing I was afraid they were going to ask to feature us on that show about hoarding. Nevertheless, it’s over for another year or two and now it’s back to sewing.
We turned things around at the Nook this week and put things in new places and put out some new pretty pastels that arrived. It’s looking very summery and fresh. Pillowcases continue to arrive and for this we thank you very much. Don’t forget that for every four pillowcases that you bring in, we will give you a yard of sale fabric. That’s just a “Thank you” from us.
Classes are still forming and many of the classes on the slate still have openings. Mar. 30th we have a “Borders” workshop. This would be great for anyone with questions about putting borders on a quilt. We also have a book called “Happy Endings” that gives many ideas and tips on finishing your quilt. It’s a great handbook and I keep one close for ideas.
Some new purses have come in and more models are on the way. Everyone has been working hard to bring more new ideas your way. We have a couple new wall-hangings done from the Whimsicals butterfly fabric and from their new book, “If quilts could talk.” I would call them quietly springlike. Anyway, stop in and see us because we’re always glad to see a friendly face.
“Ta Ta” for now or “ttfn” as my friends say,
Mary
