Mowing season 4-11
Greetings All,
The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the grass needs mowing. See, this would be another good reason to live on a lakeshore. Less mowing, more time to birdwatch.
The week coming up will of course, be action-packed at the Nook. On Tues. we have Spring Fling, on Wed. we have the Strips and Curves workshop beginning. This one looks like fun to me. On Thurs. we have a Batting (not batty!) Buddy class and on the weekend we will be vending at the Miamisburg Quilt Show. Anything else you think we need to cram in there? By the way, the Sat. Sampler classes will be this Sat. as well. And you guys wonder why we don’t always know which end is up.
The American Beauty Quilt is at the store now for any of you who have been waiting to see it before buying the kit. We caught the problem with the date for the first class and we will be notifying you of the change when we have time to change it! (its on the same day as Pat Knoechel’s lecture). FYI the class for this BOM is filling up fast even though it doesn’t start until June. You might want to reserve a spot now if you are thinking of attending.
There are lots of new models at the store and even though they aren’t all on the walls yet, they can be seen by request. You know hanging models would be easier if I could sprout some wings and fly but I’m guessing that horns and a tail would be more likely, so I’ll give that idea up as lost. Pam has a set of models in the window that she made from a panel. Really cute. It has an apron, potholders and placemats. Linda took one of our red bags and personalized it with a Mary Englebreite (bet that’s not spelled right!) panel section. So, stop in and get all idea-ed (it is too, a word) up for Spring and hostess gifts and all that happy stuff. It’ll take your mind off the dandelions and thistles that comprise your yard–my yard, anyway.
Till next time’
Mary
