Scrappy String Piecing

If measuring and precision piecing is not your thing, join this easy machine piecing class where you’ll have an opportunity to use fabric from your stash to create a small quilt. Sting piecing is a technique utilized by early quilters to use up fabric strips or stings left over from garment construction.  Ask for supply list at time of registration.  Instructor Joyce Ponder      Fee $20.00

There’s plenty of time to make up several of these cute little bags, with a wonder wallet before Christmas!  Use our pre-quilted fabric and these totes will make up even faster!  I promise you won’t make just one of either of these!  Fee of $30 includes both patterns, even fabric for 2 wallets and instruction.  Purchase fabric for tote and have it quilted before class.  Instructor-Diana and Mary

 Beginner’s Sewing Class-4 sessions

This will be VERY basic.  You will learn about fabric grain line, reading patterns, cutting, seaming and finishing-while constructing a pillowcase and a pair of pajama pants.  You’ll use the book “Sew Easy Pajama Pants” that has  sizes for everyone and great instructions and illustrations.  Fee of $48.00

covers 4 sessions, the book and fabric for one pillowcase.  You’ll need to purchase fabric for the pants.

Monday nights-6-8pm Nov. 10 & 17 and Dec. 1 & 8     Instructor-Andi Angi

 We all have left over holiday fabrics from large projects-that we just don’t know what to do with; well, why not make some fabric gift bags, that can be used over and over.  We’ll offer you several sizes and shapes.  You can try the “Quilt Smart” bag, the “It’s a Cinch” bag or let’s just make the size you really need!  Class is FREE, bring fabrics and threads to match and we’ll make a variety of bags.

 Bring your embroidery machine, unit, hoops, designs and thread for an all day practice session.  You’ll need to bring an OLD pair of jeans to “play on”.  (Please have the inside leg seam opened ) We’ll talk about stabilizers, threads, needles, to “hoop or not to hoop”-and any questions you bring along.  Remember-this is a play day, please do not bring a new pair of jeans to practice on!!  Fee of $10 includes the day, snacks, and lots of practice time.   Leaders-Diana and Mary
